James Driscoll, Partner
James is one of the founding partners of Driscoll Kingston Solicitors.
Founding the company in 2011 with partner Karla Kingston, the ethos of the firm was to bring a modern approach to law, without compromising on client care.
James read Law at the University of Central Lancashire, and after attaining an honours degree, studied the Legal Practice Course at College of Law, Chester.
Completing his legal training at a national law firm based in Lancashire, he rose from trainee to partner in six years, gaining vast experience along the way in personal injury law and business development.
Setting up Driscoll Kingston Solicitors in 2011, James has been responsible for the development of the business, as well as running all manner of files.
James specialises in catastrophic cases, and boasts a satisfied client base in all areas of practice.
Today, James deals with compliance for the firm, as well as business development, marketing and also leads the catastrophic injuries department with partner Karla.
James’ interests include football, golf, skiing, sailing, walking and travelling. He also has a particular interest in race horses.
James is a member of the Law Society, The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and The Race Horse Owners Association. James is also Membership Secretary of the Royal Airforce Association, Huyton with Roby.

Karla Kingston, Partner
Karla is one of the founding Partners of Driscoll Kingston Solicitors establishing the firm in 2011.
After studying Law at Manchester University and obtaining commendation from the College of Law in Chester, Karla completed her legal training at a large Personal Injury practice in Lancashire. Karla worked her way up that company to become a Partner before breaking away and establishing her own firm, Driscoll Kingston Solicitors.
Karla has a key role within the operational performance within the firm and has overseen the installation of the IT system and development in this area.
Throughout her career Karla has specialised in dealing with all aspects of Personal Injury including, Road Traffic Accidents, Employers Liability and Public Liability claims from more moderate soft tissue injuries to significant catastrophic injuries.
Karla has vast expertise and knowledge in Housing Disrepair and Holiday Sickness Claims dealing with a variety of claims in these areas.
Together with James Driscoll, Karla has overseen the management and development of the firm since its inception and continues to do so.
Karla is a member of the Law Society and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
In her spare time Karla is a keen runner and regularly takes part in charity runs. Karla regularly takes part in charity runs to raise money and awareness for her chosen charities and enjoys taking part in other such running activities which her running club engage in. Karla also enjoys spending time with her two dogs who keep her very busy.

Eilish Cullen
Eilish is a Partner at Driscoll Kingston Solicitors with 5 year PQE experience. Eilish has a particular specialism in Employers Liability and Public Liability Claims. Alongside this, she also specialises in Housing Disrepair claims which is a relatively niche area.
Having Originated from Northern Ireland, Eilish began Her legal studies at Liverpool John Moore’s University before commencing her Legal Practice Court at The Law College in Chester.
Eilish began her Training Contract at a small niche personal injury law firm in Knowsley where she learned the importance of client care, analytical skills and exerting confidence and pride in your work.
Having started in Driscoll Kingston in May 2015 Eilish is enjoying the new challenges that a new caseload brings.
In particular, Eilish finds that accident at work cases are the most rewarding as they involve a high level of client interaction and analytical skills.
Eilish aims to provide excellent client care to all of my clients in line with the Driscoll Kingston ethos and this is recognised at the conclusion of the claim when you know that you have delivered the best result possible for your client.
In her spare time Eilish enjoys going home to Ireland to visit friends and family, going out for meals with her friends and reading.

Joanne Bold
Joanne specialises in Personal Injury, Holiday Illness and Housing disrepair at Driscoll Kingston Solicitors .
Joanne began her legal studies at Edge Hill University before starting her Legal Practice Court at Liverpool John Moore’s.
Joanne started her training contract in a personal injury law firm in Lancashire, where she had worked since leaving university, assisting a Partner of the firm and gaining invaluable experience.
Having started at Driscoll Kingston in August 2016 Joanne is enjoying her new challenges and enjoying working with new clients.
In Joanne’s spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling and socialising.
Georgia Whittle
Georgia joined Driscoll Kingston Solicitors in April 2015.
Georgia is the firms PA to Partners and also works within the Operations Department.
Georgia works closely with the Partners at Driscoll Kingston keeping track of the office activity/stats which is displayed through excel. Georgia has experience in Operations, assisting all of the Partners. As well as being the firms Operations Assistant Georgia also assists on costs cases, working closely with the firms costs draftsman on many of cost cases, negotiating to meet suitable settlements.
Outside of work Georgia enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Jennifer Campbell
Jenni joined Driscoll Kingston Solicitors in June 2016 and is the firm’s Trainee Solicitor, due to qualify in October 2018.
Jennifer began her legal studies in Liverpool John Moores University where she achieved an LLB Degree with honours and went on to complete the Legal Practice Court at the same University achieving a distinction.
Jennifer currently runs the Wills and Probate department at Driscoll Kingston, under the supervision of James Driscoll. Jennifer also has a case load of road traffic accident claims and holiday illness claims and also assists with occupiers and public liability claims as well as housing disrepair claims.
In her spare time Jennifer enjoys running and frequently takes part in half marathons and other charity runs. Jennifer also enjoys walking, attending gym and travelling.
David Edwards
David joined Driscoll Kingston in June 2019 as a solicitor in their housing disrepair team.
David’s background is historically in personal injury , mostly road traffic, but also public and employer’s liability claims and his worked for both claimant and defendant firms.
Having studied modern languages at Oxford University, David began his legal studies at the College of Law, Chester and obtained a training contract at a high-street firm in north Manchester before taking up roles in both Manchester and Liverpool city centres. Since qualifying as a solicitor in 1989, David has gained substantial experience in dealing with claims both pre- and post-litigation and looks forward to bringing these skills to bear in housing disrepair claims.
In David’s spare time, David enjoys travelling, reading and listening to most kinds of music.
Olivia Blundell
Olivia joined Driscoll Kingston in July 2019 as a Solicitor.
Olivia studied Law and Criminal Justice at Liverpool John Moore’s University gaining a degree with honours and then continued my studies there for the Legal Practice Course.
Throughout the duration of the LPC she began a legal career, working her way from admin assistant to fee earner assistant within 6 months. Her career has predominately been working in the personal injury sector, specifically dealing with EL/PL and medical negligent claims. Olivia then gained a training contract after successfully completing the LPC and was able to expand her knowledge in other areas such as Financial Mis-selling and Conveyancing.
Coming to the end of her training contract she knew she wanted to be involved in an area which helped people on a personal level as well as working in a particular area which highly interested her. Olivia therefore couldn’t pass on the opportunity to work at Driscoll Kingston when a position for a solicitor in the Housing Disrepair department became available.
Being a newly qualified solicitor Olivia is excited and motivated to progress my career here.
In Olivia’s spare time she enjoys cooking, shopping, spending time with her family and socialising with friends.
Philip Bigelow
Phil joined Driscoll Kingston in March 2020
Phil completed his degree at Liverpool John Moore’s University before completing his LPC at BPP Law School in Manchester. Phil is 10 years PQE and has vast experience in in motor accident claims, claims involving employers and serious injury claims, he is also an experienced litigator having dealt with many claims over the years.
Presently he is in the 2nd year of his part time Masters in law post-graduate degree and is due to graduate in September 2020.
Phil currently works in the housing disrepair department having developed a keen interest in wanting to help clients who vulnerable and had their rights infringed. He also deals with client who have been seriously injured following accidents at work.
Outside of work Phil enjoys spending his time watching Liverpool Football Club attending matches regularly both home and away. His is also a shareholder and voting member in a local amateur football club City of Liverpool FC and is also a regular match goer. He also likes spending time with his family, engaging in politics and has a keen interest in Greek Philosophy.
Claire McDonnell
Claire joined Driscoll Kingston Solicitors in July 2020 and is a Solicitor dealing with Housing Disrepair claims.
Having done her law degree at Leeds Met and her LPC at the College of Law in Manchester, she qualified in 2013 and has gained a lot of experience in civil litigation, in particular PI.
Claire is excited to work in the housing disrepair team to be able to help clients who are vulnerable and need assistance to improve their quality of life.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys travelling, planning holidays, going to the gym, football and spending time with family and friends.
Peter Dodd
Peter is a Solicitor who qualified in 2010, he has worked in the legal profession since 1997. He studied law at Liverpool John Moors University and also completed his LPC at that establishment. He completed his training contract at a national law firm based in Lancashire.
He is experienced in most areas of Personal Injury and has interest in high value Employers, Public and Occupiers liability claims. He is an experienced advocate having regularly attended Court to represent his Clients.
He also has an interest in Housing Disrepair Claims and has a real passion for helping vulnerable people obtain justice.
In his spare time Peter enjoys spending time with his family and is an avid follower of Everton Football Club and travels to watch them play them home and away and (far too infrequently) across Europe. In 2015 Peter was elected by Everton supporters to represent them on the Fans Forum, a body made up of supporters, who meet with the club’s hierarchy on a monthly basis to discuss fan related issues.
He enjoys watching and playing most sports.
He is a licenced FA coach and coaches a junior football team. He is also a British Fencing Association qualified fencer.
Peter enjoys traveling, film, quizzes and can speak Italian.
Krysta Joined Driscoll Kingston Solicitors in August 2015 and is David’s Legal Assistant working on Housing Disrepair claims.
Krysta studied a Politics Degree at Manchester Metropolitan University where she obtained a BA Honours. Having achieved this Krysta went on to study the GDL at Liverpool John Moores University and is currently undertaking qualifications at the institute of charted Legal Executives.
Whilst studying Krysta began her career in the legal industry obtaining invaluable experience and has joined Driscoll Kingston Solicitors in August 2015.
Krysta has experience of dealing with Road Traffic Accident claims and Holiday Claims.
Krysta enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her dog Billy. Krysta’s hobbies include skiing, travelling, gym and socialising. Krysta is also a member of the cat’s protection and sponsors a cat called Rosie. She also enjoys raising money for various charities and has taken part in pretty muddy/race for life and the Liverpool Legal Walk for the North West Legal Support Trust.

Beth Cawley
Beth joined the team at Driscoll Kingston Solicitors in November 2014 under the Apprentice Scheme as a paralegal and since then has become Joanne Bold’s assistant dealing with Holiday Illness and Housing Disrepair claims from start to finish.
Beth has been involved in many fundraising events raising money for charities such as Alder Hay Children’s hospital/Legal Walks/adopting Polar Bears and helping her local Homeless Dog Charity. Her fun and friendly approach to work makes her easy to talk to.
Beth enjoys spending her spare time planning her next holiday, going to music festivals and loving her pet labra-sausage Quincey.
Beth has A levels in Geography, Childcare and Health and Social.

Rachael Johnson
Rachael joined Driscoll Kingston Solicitors in March 2016. Since completing her apprenticeship, Rachael has continued within house training in order to progress within the firm.
Rachael initially worked as the firm’s receptionist but has since moved onto assisting one of the Partners, Eilish Cullen. Rachael assists with pre and post litigation work on a number of Eilish cases including Holiday Illness, Housing Disrepair and Personal Injury.
Rachael has aspirations of becoming a Solicitor and wants to work her way up to this position through the hard work and determination that she currently shows within the firm.
Rachael has been involved in many charity events since joining Driscoll Kingston including Race for Life 2016, Legal Walk and the annual Children in Need fundraisers held in the office.
Rachael enjoys spending her spend time socialising with friends and family and visiting her parents, younger siblings and dogs that live on the South Coast of England.
Alice Hughes
Alice joined Driscoll Kingston in July 2019 and is assisting one of the solicitors, Jennifer Campbell.
Alice completed her Law Degree at The University of Law in Chester. She then went on to complete my LPC with a master’s in their new campus at Liverpool.
Alice has aspirations to become a solicitor one day and will be gaining invaluable experience in assisting Jennifer with her case load. She will be learning a lot from her and will take it all on board to improve any work that she does.
She enjoy spending time with her friends and family. Alice loves travelling to new places and saving up to enable to go on these new adventures. She likes to relax by doing yoga in her spare time.
Jessica Yeldrem
Jessica joined Driscoll Kingston Solicitors in May 2019 and is Olivia Blundell’s assistant working on housing disrepair claims.
Jessica began her legal studies in Edge Hill University where she achieved an LLB Degree with honours and went on to complete her master’s degree at the University of Liverpool.
Outside of work Jessica likes to spend time with friends and family.
Jessica is also a qualified yoga instructor and takes classes throughout the week, she also likes going to the gym and walking.
Elle Calder
Elle joined Driscoll Kingston in September 2018.
Elle is the firms Accounts assistant clerk.
Elle is currently completing a Level 2 Accountancy course and is obtaining this qualification through an apprentice scheme.
In Elle’s spare time she likes to spend time with her family and friends.
Joe Clifton
Joe joined Driscoll Kingston in May 2019 and is part of the First Response Team.
As part of his role, Joe is the first point of contact for our clients. Joe will represent Driscoll Kingston Solicitors in a professional manner, building rapport with clients over emails and telephone calls whilst taking down the details of their housing disrepair claims. It is critical in Joe’s role that the information from the client is taken correctly and is accurate so operations can run smoothly and the solicitors can continue with their work without any problems.
Joe has a vast experience within the customer service industry and will use these skills to build a level of trust with our clients, cementing the firm’s reputation and ultimately reassuring our clients that if the claim should meet the required legal criteria, we will continue to help the client as best we can. Joe knows that the clients would like a stress-fee journey with Driscoll Kingston and know exactly what is going to happen and when that will take place, again this cements the firm’s reputation.
Outside of work I have an online business drop shipping products from a manufacturer and selling them on amazon. I also enjoy reading, going to the gym and going out with friends
Alisha Hughes
Alisha joined Driscoll Kingston in August 2019 and is part of the First Response Team.
Alisha completed her Criminology degree at John Moores University.
As part of her role, Alisha will be the first point of contact for the client and will explain the claims process to the client and complete an initial claim questionnaire with them outlining the details of their claim. She will make sure all information taken down is accurate and correct, so if the claim is accepted, the solicitor dealing with the claim has all the information they need to deal with the matter.
As a first responder Alisha will communicate with clients by telephone and email. She will build a strong rapport with the client by acting professionally and sympathetically towards them. By doing this she will put the client at ease, make the claims process as stress free as possible for the client and give the client confidence in us to deal with the matter in hand.
Outside of work Alisha likes to spend time socialising with her friends, family and travelling to new places.
Sophie Johnson
Sophie joined Driscoll Kingston in January 2020.
Sophie assists on reception and to the First Response Team.
She has previously completed her Level 2 Business Administration qualification through an apprenticeship scheme.
She has experience of working within a law firm and also receptionist experience.
In Sophie’s spare time she enjoys socialising with family and friends and travelling to new places.
Alice Delaney
Alice joined Driscoll Kingston in June 2020 and is part of the First Response team.
She recently completed her law degree at King’s College London and aspires to become a qualified solicitor or barrister using hard work and the experience she gains at the firm.
As the first point of call for clients, Alice will address them in a professional but friendly manor whilst being precise in taking down their information. Once the claim is accepted, Alice will work with the client to ensure they are well informed and at ease throughout the process as client satisfaction is of the upmost importance to the firm.
In her spare time Alice enjoys taking and teaching dance classes, reading and visiting new restaurants and bars with her friends.
Karolina Glowacka
Karolina has recently joined Driscoll Kingston as part of the First Response Team.
She completed her Law with Spanish LLB degree at the University of Liverpool, following this she gained her LPC qualification along with a master’s in Law, Business and Management.
Karolina’s aspiration is to become a fully qualified solicitor while gaining invaluable experience at Driscoll Kingston. She will always listen to the problems of clients sympathetically and obtain accurate and detailed information about their issues in order to begin the process of resolving them.
Karolina speaks fluent Polish and English, meaning she is able to assist with translation tasks as well as fulfilling her role in the First Response Team.
In her spare time, Karolina loves to travel to new places and spend time with her friends and family.”
Adam Willetts
Adam joined the firm in August 2020 and works within the Housing Disrepair Department, having previously worked for over 9 years within RTA. He is an experienced solicitor with 6+ years PQE and close to 10 years litigation experience.
Adam obtained a BA in History & Politics at Keele University before studying the GDL/LPC conversion at the Birmingham College of Law.
Outside of work Adam enjoys travelling, playing and watching football, being a season ticket holder at Aston Villa, following them home and away. Other interests include CrossFit, the gym and spending as much time as possible outdoors and in the Welsh mountains in particular.
Sian Swindells
Sian joined Driscoll Kingston in 2020 as a Legal Assistant.
Sian completed her Law Degree at The University of Liverpool in 2019. She is currently studying her LPC with a masters part-time at the University of Law in Liverpool.
Sian has aspirations to become a Solicitor and hopes the invaluable experience she gains at the firm will help her achieve this goal. She is committed to working hard and providing the best service possible to our Clients.
Outside of work, Sian enjoys socialising with friends, doing yoga and reading.
Lauren Barker
Lauren joined Driscoll Kingston in September 2020 and is part of the First Response team.
Lauren is responsible for being the first point of contact for our clients.
As part of Lauren’s role, she builds rapport with clients over email and telephone, whilst it is critical that the information Lauren has taken from the client is taken correctly.
Lauren’s previous job was working for the Citizens Advice Bureau so she has gained a lot of experience within the customer service industry and understands how to be trustworthy and compassionate to clients as well as making sure everything she does meets the solicitor’s requirements.
In Lauren’s spare time she enjoys travelling and socialising with friends and family.
